RAKT is a cloud blood bank management system used by 200+ blood centres across India. It covers the whole path of a unit — donor registration, bag entry, grouping, TTI screening, component preparation, inventory, crossmatch and issue — and writes every statutory register as a by-product of the work rather than as a second job at the end of the month.

Why RAKT exists
A blood centre is one of the few places in healthcare where the paperwork is not administrative overhead — it is the safety mechanism. The Donor Register, the TTI Register, the Crossmatch Register and the issue records are how a unit is traced from the arm it came from to the patient it reached, and they are what an inspector reads.
The problem is that most software in this market treats those registers as reports to be generated afterwards. So they get generated afterwards — from memory, from a notebook, from a spreadsheet somebody keeps in parallel — and the register stops being a record of what happened and becomes a reconstruction of it. Every blood bank officer in India knows the week before an inspection.
RAKT is built the other way round. The technician does the work on the screen that matches the bench in front of them, and the registers are what that work writes. There is nothing to reconcile at the end of the month because nothing was ever kept in two places.
The software refuses before it reports
The checks that matter are the ones that stop a mistake at the moment it is made, not the ones that find it in a monthly export.
A component cannot be allotted or issued until grouping and TTI screening have both been recorded as complete.
Compatibility has to be recorded against the specific unit and the specific patient before issue is available.
Every record carries an audit trail with a named user. Corrections are recorded as corrections.

Who owns and builds RAKT?
RAKT is built and operated by its own team in Delhi. The people who answer support@rakt.in are the people who write the software, which is why a bug report about the crossmatch screen does not have to travel through three companies.
How many blood centres use RAKT?
200+ blood centres across India run on RAKT. They range from charitable blood centres running a single site to hospital transfusion services inside multi-speciality hospitals. The named ones are listed on our customers page.
Is RAKT built only for India?
Yes, and deliberately. eRaktKosh submission, ABHA donor identity, NABH performance indicators and the registers required under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act are not configuration options bolted onto a generic blood bank product — they are the shape of the software. A system built for another regulatory regime and localised afterwards behaves like one.
